Hidden Features of the Color Palette Fixer ☺

(I loooove to add fun little easter eggs to my tools. Here are some of the hidden-ish features I tucked into this tool)

Locking Colors

Sounds boring- but is actually awesome. 

You know how sometimes a brand is*really known*for a signature brand color?

Or a business owner just really loves their shade of orange and is insistent on keeping it?

Well-I gotchu! 

You can press the ‘lock’ icon on any color in the tool and it will tell the system:“Hey- we gotta make this color work. Let's balance everything else to keep this color."

Quick Fix

In Step 3 of the tool, you will be able to preview all your text + background combinations together. 

The Fixer will tell you how many of your brand colors actually have high contrast, accessible pairing options. 

In the ‘Quick Fix’ box, the tool will suggest new colors that already work great with your brand colors to give you even MORE accessible combos.

Palette Metrics

In step 2 of the tool, you'll be able to view your full palette metrics.

These update whenever you add/change a color, and it shows you your brand's aesthetic at-a-glance:

  • Temperature
  • Saturation
  • Lightness
  • Color Diversity

These metrics are GREAT if you're a designer and want to accurately describe the 'vibe' of the palette to your clients.
