This week's fictional brand is 'Oasis Juice Bar': a local juice bar chain based in Kona, Hawaii.
Kona is a special place to me- Chris & I honeymooned there and loved the laid-back vibes, fresh local fruit, and vibrant art scene. We found a local coffee shop that had the *best* smoothie I've ever had, and that's 100% what inspired this brand.
I wanted to create a brand that felt JUICY, since Hawaiian fruits are some of the best I've ever had. These fonts, colors, & illustrations all come together to create a juicy brand that feels like a perfect smoothie.
These fonts & colors are perfect for:
- brands that identify as fresh, vibrant, and playful
- juice/fresh food brands (obvi!)
- brands that want to feel 'juicy' and full of yummy tropical vibes
The Fonts:
I was browsing through my font library and landed on 'Wild Mango', which ended up being the PERFECT playful serif (and, I mean, come ON that name is perfection). This font is bouncy and doesn't take itself too seriously- perfect for this juice bar.

- body font: DM Sans (free Google font!)
The Colors:
When I was crafting the brand colors, the only word I had in my mind was 'JUICY'. I wanted to pull fresh citrus and fruit-inspired shades. I had a lot of fun playing with vibrant citrus tones and pairing them with darker/lighter variations to get high-contrast pairs.
The Graphics:
I found this pack of abstract fruits and it was exactly what I needed for this project. These hand-drawn illustrations bring a fresh energy to this brand, and make it feel so very personal & local.
